All-Star Teams Getting Cheated

We had that happen to our J5 team. Our team had 9 staning fulls (maybe 1 or 2less), hitch kick doubles, 2 different tick tocks, lots of other hard things and hit PERFECT. The other team had a few falls, no tick tocks, 2 kick doubles(on a large team) and 3 standing fulls and beat our team because the judges messed up the scoring on day 1! It was sad but the next time we saw the team they had dropped to level 4 lol. I wonder why.

It's crazy to pretend teams never get cheated. Judges do make mistakes, it happens. You can't prove it unless the mistake is on your score sheet since you don't see the other teams so there is no point dwelling on it.

this season my team was cheated, we were accused of having illegal tumbling by the competition (which was not the case) but anyway we got last at the competition, but where later contacted and they told us it was their mistake but we wouldve gotten 1st :( ! Also, another competition we had one stunt fall the first day and came into day 2 in 3rd. day 2 we hit but the 1st place team did not, their pyramid crashed and they had 8 touches. Needless to say, we moved up but 1st place was still a bummer.

our girls had one bobble and got a 1 point deduction. 2nd place. The winning team had 2 dropped stunts, a tumble bust and 6 out of bounds (but the oob's didn't count) - total of 1.5 deduction ????????????? at a big name comp, not a local

Something very strange happened at NCA in our division this year - Out of 12 teams, a team we thought was really good was called in the 10th place position, we were stunned. On the results website a few days later, they are in number 2 spot and when we got the video of awards they spliced the ceremony so that they were announced as the 2nd place team. I really felt horrible for that team to have been denied their chance to shine at NCA.

wow i know that you get a pretty big deduction if you step out and they stepped out 6 times!! and with that many step outs, 1.5 is not enough!!

That stinks for the gym and the athletes on the team!! If they had a 1st place performance they should have been rewarded for it!!

I just think that judges don't always follow the grid ... And that's aggravating. No team should not get credit for the skill they perform . If the judge doesn't like the way they perform it they should lower the scores In the execution or deduction section ONLY.

I agree!! if the team gives a 1st place performance they deserve first place!! lol

@ronnoc0522 - at that comp for whatever reason oob's were not counted against anyone, but we still didn't understand the deduction for a bobble vs. 2 falls and a bust - but I should have clarified earlier - I am not saying our girls were "cheated", but we sure didn't understand the rationale.

I'm going to nominate @ronnoc0522 as the Art Bell of the Fierceboard.

This thread is just like those Coast to Coast radio shows where every conspiracy theory is given eactly the same credence.
