As with any social media, think before you post. I can't count the number of times I have seen someone post something hastily and later go back into the post and apologize. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Read it twice. Does it sound the way you want it to?

Don't get defensive. People around here aren't generally mean-spirited, so don't take things too personally. Remember that you have the right to post your opinion here, but the same goes for others too.

Proofread your posts. Don't make the they're/there/there, you're/your, and other mistakes if you can help it.

People from gyms, big and small, have a lot of the same issues as your team/gym. This is a great place to get ideas and learn. Fierceboard has opened up my view of cheer, and it's helped me to see parent and athlete perspectives better. I am a better coach because of this board.

Meet people from Fierceboard at competitions. You probably have more in common with them than most of your "real" friends. Some of my favorite cheer friends are people that I met here.

check your spelling

respect all gyms and all other cheerleaders, we are all the same

do not get defensive if somebody points out your mistake

choose your battles wisely

Don't blindly trust people just because you know and see them online...

that you can really never go to any major comps and get all your knowledge of cheer teams through youtube twitter and facebook and then consider yourself an "expert" here!!

The word "janky" and the appropriate use of it.

That my team does have Dorito scorps and I should make them stretch (but I love them enough to still show them in my avatar)
