Not all of us live close enough to all these teams to even have the opportunity to do that. Were just taking the time to praise certain athletes for their incredible skill, and get their name out there so other people can see what great athletes they are also. No need to be so snappy.maybe instead of describing them on an online forum, go meet them after their performance and tell them good job? then they actually know you respect their skills? hmm real social interaction.. crazy

I believe she just dances now, and her counterpart in that dance is now on green.
I really don't understand the opposition to cheerlebrities...I mean, "idol athletes" exist in EVERY sport. The fact that the idols are kids is a different concept for people, but that's the way it goes when people age out at 18. There's no National Cheerleading League; if there were, I'm sure the "celebrity athletes" would be found there instead, but that's not the way it goes...and frankly, if I were a parent, I would be happier with my kid looking up to Whitney Love or something than a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader (unless we're talking about Cassie Trammel...but that's different haha). I just don't really see that these kids are worse for the wear if they have "fans".
I think having cheerlebrities is completely fine unless it gets creepy (for example, it's cool to have a picture of Mia Hamm on your wall, but having a life-sized Erica Englebert poster next to your Maddie Gardner cut-out would be weird).
lolol i've never heard that before. i like it!For the most part it isn't bad, but there are some that have seriously let it go to their head to the point of them not being the nice normal athlete anymore but instead someone who thinks their poo don't stink.
More so it is just the fact that these minor kids are being obsessed over, while they may not think it is creepy, but as someone looking in from the outside the obsession that some have with these athletes is creepy. I feel the same way about professional athletes and celebrities as well though so maybe that is why I view it the way that I do. Looking up to someone is one thing, but obsessing is completely different.
It's seriously getting out of hand. For example.
Seriously????:banghead:
I saw this on twitter and was literally speechless. What has our sport come too? It's seriously getting out of hand. For example.
Seriously????:banghead:
It's things like this that make me secretly hope the world does in fact end in 2012.
haha thats cameron he is 10! He has a double and combo(s) through to full and just got his standing fullIn the category of upcoming cheerlebrities....there's a boy we saw at cheersport on vizion Allstars that was on the ir 2,3 and 4. He only looks about 10 but he completely caught my eye on every team. Give him a few more years and hell be one of the ones people talk about. Crazy good body positions (he flew)
