UltimateRudags you broke the news the other day that this was happening. What was going on behind the scenes here? I really want to know how all this came about with NO notice given to coaches and gym owners or even top "officials".

The mish mash of age changes, image "enforcement" (HA!) and level 5 limitations seems like such an odd grouping of priorities. Especially for an "NFL" style emergency ruling.

I laugh that of all the things we thought were happening, 13 as the minimum for worlds was the one thing that DIDN'T.

Okay this call is a mess you can't tell who is talking from everyone trying to talk over the other person.

There is also some really rude people on there who need to learn how to speak their mind without coming off as an idiot.

I want to know how this Board of Directors came into "office" as it may be. It appears to me there is a large disconnect in some of the rules they have put in place in regards to the effect it will have on several gyms within the US and the International world. I mentioned in a different thread how I have become an advocate for this sport and now I find myelf considering pulling my kids from it because the governing body seems to be running blindly into the future. The outside world is saying "see, this sport isn't legitimate, they don't have a clue what they are doing".

Yeah that is my question as well. Les said that they didn't know that there would be a blow up, but how could they assume that this wouldn't end badly? They went over people's heads to create rules.
Knowing this makes me lose so much respect for the members of that board.

I laugh at the fact that the USASF didn't think there would be this big of a "blow up". What in the world did they think was going to happen? A celebration? They seriously can't be that dense can they? :confused:

Maybe it's time to start from ground up! Learn from USASF's mistakes start fresh and set this all up right: from mandatory extensive coach certification training beforehand, athlete registration, leveling and tracking to EP consistency???? For an agency that we all put so much faith into for regulating and legitimizing this sport.... They have made lousy excuses to why they can't fix the legitament issues but all of a sudden can now single handedly ruin it all together!!! smh! O, almost forgot... and "this is my opinion" *hate to not be positive online since this may cause deductions now too! Cringe, cringe!!!
