Althletes are selected at the end of each week and are invited back to attend week 12 at a reduced rate with everyone else who was tapped throughout the summer. It's not necessarily based on how much they advanced or even if they gained new skills but on how hard they worked, their overall attitude and enthusiasm. It also has to do with (imho) if they have ever been tapped in previous years they attended. What does it mean to be tapped?

Thanks. She's really depressed about the whole thing. I'm not particularly happy about it either, but feel really bad for her.So sorry. Wishing her or him good luck and a fast recovery.

May I just commend you on the fact that you're so involved? My grandparents don't know the difference between a split and a straddle, let alone even come to competitions. Bless your heart :)Korey is flying from The Destin Area to ATL on to Newark. Driving the rest if the way. She and her coaches are going to spend a day and a half in Manhattan when camp is through. Had they not planned a side trip to Manhattan they probably would be on the same flight.
Thank you. Although your grandparents aren't as involved as I am, I bet they are very proud of you! I am very involved in my granddaughter's cheer life and have not missed any of her competitions since she started in 2005. In fact, I'm on the Parent team - and technically, I'm a Great Grandmother to a sweet 18 month old girl (by my 22 year old grandson). But this year I'm hanging up my Nfinitys.
