Page 6, Question #6 explains admission prices if you want to just go to the WWoS. So if I understand correctly... if you don't want a Park Hopper for all the parks and just want to watch the competition, it'll cost you $170 in admissions.

Everyone can go ahead and jump down my throat, but this seems to be yet another desperate attempt to get cheerleading recognized as a legitimate sport, eventually an Olympic sport. So many changes are occurring to make the sport seem so professional and strict, basically it seems like they're trying to make this gymnastics with stunting.

It looks like the hopper passes only cover 2 days.

ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex?
No! If you are only going to the ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex, you may purchase a ticket at the door for $40 per day per person. However, if you purchase a Walt Disney World® PARK HOPPER ticket from the USASF/IASF it includes admission into ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex. On Monday, April 29 Worlds Finals tickets will be $30 per session. There will be
3 sessions that day in the HP Field House on that day!
7. Are there discounted park tickets available for family and friends not on the travel package?
Yes, there are three different tickets.
1) 3-day PARK HOPPER® Ticket - $210.00
2) 4-day PARK HOPPER® Ticket - $240.00
3) 5-day PARK HOPPER® Ticket - $270.00
Order Forms for these tickets can be found in The Worlds Registration Packet or you can order online. Walt Disney World® PARK HOPPER tickets are valid for unlimited admission into the Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park as well as two days of admission into ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex. These tickets DO NOT include The Worlds bus transportation to the parks.

The sport is growing, the fans and participants are passionate. Instead of finding a venue that can accommodate the growing sport, they are punishing the fans and athletes.

It's only going to get worse. All Star is growing by leaps and bounds, look at the numbers of younger lower level teams. Tomorrow's world's athletes are hanging tough in youth 3 and junior 4. There are so many mini and youth teams at every competition,what are they going to do in the next 3-5 years?

I would add to this and ask..

Why would any governing body intentionally discourage the spectator growth of this sport? Disney Contract or not..that to me is just plain crazy.

so your saying i have to pay $40 on Saturday and $40 on Sunday and then $30 three times on Monday if i am going just to watch? So thats $170 total? that is ridiculous! i have been to worlds every year just to watch and support our level 5 team in our gym. The most i had to pay was $50. cant believe they're making people pay that much.

Ridiculous, i think they are probably doing it to keep the crowds down so they dont have the same thing happen like last year. But seriously come one $170 to watch a cheer competition, unbelievable!

Raising the prices that much works with something that has outside fans- like basketball, soccer, rugby, football, etc.

We are our own fans, so punishing us seems a bit, extreme.

I agree with the excessive celebration and setup rules. I do not think they were worded the best. It is all in how you present the new rules.. and they weren't presented correctly. However being on time and keeping an event rolling is important. They way they were described over emphasized the little things and did not paint a good general picture. A better description would have been: You have 30 seconds to come off the mat after you have finished competing. Every 1 second past that removes 1 point from your score. As well no individual should draw attention to their one person. If so, penalties can be assessed based on severity.

That takes care of both things without pissing people off for the little high 5's or hugs.

This is exactly how I read the excessive celebrations section. Get on the floor, perform, get off. Do whatever you want so to speak behind the scenes, but when the world is officially watching and we are desiring to be eventually included in some format into the Olympics, you need to act professional. Show them your skills, and sportsmanship but leave the rest out of it.

Of course what troubles me there is how this rule will it be enforced, will it be enforced across the board, and will we ever know who got hit with it, should this occur? Especially as has been said before they are already not too good at enforcing the current rules with consistency?

If your on a worlds package as a team and you dont make it to finals you have to pay a seperate $30 for each session or is your admission already included since you purchased a worlds package.

I am also not a fan of micromanaging any situation. Don't focus on individual actions, but instead have a playing field with boundaries.

As for the money, while it is never ideal to pay more it makes business sense. If they make more money and we all still go, then they did a smart thing. If NO ONE goes, they will pull back down prices. If everyone watches the stream then they make more money that way. Because their product is unique and they have a monopoly on the situation they are basically charging whatever they want. They had TOO much growth, and now they need to take it back.
