Its max 10 teams in finals. So how would all Int'l Teams be competing in finals. Most likely there will be 3 american teams and 7 international teams. (Not sure about IAG6 though)

It's similar, this year a Larger tent was placed on the grass behind/in between the Milk House and Jostens Center. There are 2 full floors in the back for warm ups and bleachers/chairs for viewing. I don't think it is a bad place for prelims with 103498123058 teams but for finals, I would not be happy if I was an athlete. But hey, Worlds is growing and moving venues apparently isn't an option (although the Orange County Convention Center is 5 miles away and is prob close to the size of the Georgia World Congress Center). I ONLY seeing this being a MAJOR issue if it rains, if it rains (crossing fingers and toes that it doesn't) there is NO WHERE for teams waiting for warm ups to go, so they sit outside and wait? Idk what they will do, guess it will be like NCA College Nationals and PRAY PRAY PRAY.

Not according to the online Worlds information... 3 per country in the Intl divisions would allow pretty much all non-US teams in. So if Antartica Level 1 wants to come, they will be in Finals. The ever-increasing number of foreign teams who are all given two chances to perform seems to have been the main cause in the other divisions being cut down to 10 each.
"A maximum of three (3) of the highest scoring teams from “each country” in each International division will progress from Semi-finals to the Finals held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex."

Ohhhhhh. Got it. Maybe they will still cap it based on numbers. Up to 10 teams from each country compete on saturday. Then they take the top 30 with up to 3 teams from each country.

It is an interesting idea but I don't think EVERY international country has 3 teams competing..in the UK we have 1 team in IOAG, 2 teams in IOC and 1 team in IOC6 and that's for England, N. Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

NCA Nationals at least has the Ocean Center center as a back up plan (and I believe they did have finals inside a few years ago).

It makes sense to use the tents for prelims so that they can finish earlier in the day and possibly semi-finals. I would imagine that for finals there wouldn't be a need for the tent.

I am confused... they are using this tent as a warm up then the teams will walk to the jostens or hp fieldhouse?

yay for birthdays. I am bringing my CP and her BFF (also a cheerleader
but for another gym) to worlds this year. Anyone have any idea if there would be any possibility of getting a birthday shutout to the BFF whose 11th birthday happens to be April 29th? This trip is part birthday present and part psych up for two kiddos who would do anything to make a 'Worlds team' as soon as they are eligible.
