You do know that all the at-large bids go first, then partial, then paid right? The reason the big gyms are at the end is because they have paid bids. We watched the whole thing live and they read team names in alphabetical order, so they would have had to rig the gay bingo machine for it to be rigged.

no worries. The process changes from year to year and it's practically a job in itself to keep up!

I would guess you could go to their country and compete for a bid, but the way I understand it is there are very few if any paid bids in other countries. The purpose of the international division is to allow those countries who follow different age guidelines, but I think in Canada they are closer to following the same grid we use here then then European countries. It is weird seeing them in the senior club divisions, but great all at the same time.

I'm on the team CheerForce Sparkles but on Fierceboard I am a "Newbie" so I can't post on the thread. Every year the ELITE Brands organize an European competition and offer an qualification process to Worlds:
"The European Challenge to “The Worlds” is the qualification process at the ELITE Cheerleading Championship for the IASF Cheer and Dance Worlds in Orlando in the following year exclusive for european teams in the Junior and Senior Allgirl Cheer, Junior and Senior Coed Cheer and the different Junior and Senior Dance Divisions.

After the results of the ELITE Cheerleading Championship are clear, all european teams are grouped by country. The team with the highest score in its country in the above divisions qualifies for “The Worlds” in Orlando. The european team with the highest score of all countries in ALL above divisions wins a “partially payed bits” package for 4 persons per team of an overall value of up to 2,000 EUR per team. " (ELITE Cheerleading - IX. ELITE Cheerleading Championship 2012).

In Germany our division has the age 11-18.

Germany is the only country that has bids in Europe, I think. But you can be from any country to compete there, a swedish junior team won a partial paid bid a couple of years ago, but unfortunately they took away the junior division on Worlds the year after... Haha..

So yes, we pay for our own trip.. :)

The teams from Sweden, Norway and Finland can't choose division on their on. All teams qualify from Nationals the year before or the same year. In Sweden the top 2 teams get to compete in international open 6 and 3rd and 4th in international open 5 (even though they're level 6).

We become seniors when we're 16/17, but it's ok to have junior aged people if 75% of the team has the right age for senior.

Who decided how many bids a company can give out? Do you have your own governing body? An EP could probably give out a paid bid if they wanted to shell out the $25,000

And it would be beneficial for people to watch videos of teams. Just because someone is an american team, doesn't mean they will be top 3 in IO6.

I think it's just people who don't care about the international divisions - especially level 6.
