They talked about this on KROQ this morning. You pay the place (Ark Music Factory) and they write/produce/record the song, and make a video. So it doesn't really have much to do with the actual music industry. It's like one of those places in the mall, but for rich kids. They have a bunch of other crappy auto tune songs on their website.
