I think everyone should have legality judges come out at least once, so you can have the "hey I don't think that's legal" moment at your gym rather than at a comp.
Nothing worse than being called on a legality based on just total oversight on your part (as a coach!)
It's even more important to just have SOMEONE who doesn't see your kids all the time come sit and give feedback.
We spend so much time looking at routines that (believe it or not) there's stuff you just STOP seeing. Or you get so locked in on that thing in the pyramid that won't hit that you miss a possible stunting legality issue in your opening.
Or YOU think your running tumbling section is AMAZING. Then someone else comes in and notices that 4 of your RO 3 BHSs are on the hotmess express with their landings. That's why it's good to have someone else sit in on your practices sometimes.
It's kind of like when you've been working on a paper or work document for so long that you think everything looks fine, then your friend looks at it and says "Um, rejectment is not a word."
