So excited to open a thread that is included in the top of the header :) This is the first time CP is competing at one of the big comps. So who is going?

ECE East Windsor is going. It will be my daughter's first time competing here as well.

Enjoy Cheersport! It's a great comp. my only suggestion is to make as many dinner reservations as you can at least a month or more ahead of time! This will save you a lot of frustration when you're there.

Bless you! And my advice is...if at all possible, book a hotel within walking distance. I know the rates are asinine...but the traffic is horrific, and parking in the area is a disaster. If you can't stay in walking distance, just Uber everywhere, every time. Nothing good can come from driving in that traffic hellhole.

Would you be able to walk from the Hyatt Regency to the World Congress Center? It's supposedly .8 miles away but I know nothing about the area.

If I remember correctly, my cp's friend stayed there last year, and yes, they walked. The Bates Motel we stayed in last year was 4 miles and I thought...how bad can 4 mi be? In Atlanta it was 45 min

They do have a rail system that is convenient to many hotels and stops at the convention center. It is the only other option besides walking and Uber, and sometimes Uber can take 30 minutes to go a mile. Traffic is absolutely awful in Atlanta.

Yes you will! I'm so excited to go even though CP isn't competing. CP and I have never been to CheerSport.

Best thing is to google restaurants near the convention center or your hotel. It all depends on your tastes. Prices range from moderate to expensive.

CP isn't competing this year but her gym just sent the comp schedule and they're not doing Cheersport this year :(
We were going to go to support them and see the big gyms since we're in Atlanta but guess we'll just watch on Flo :/
