Siiiigh...should be easy, there's two guys.

I wish there was a "mega-shimmy" button.
If I could look like I was standing on the floor with one guy holding my foot, then I sure as heck better be able to bust out anything anyone can think of with two guys holding my foot.

I just love that they can hit stunts that other teams had problems with throughout the season. Seeing a stunt that was originally performed by allgirl teams is interesting to see done coed.

You can make anything hit when you're filming. Hitting it in competition is the hard part.

I'm part of the 1 guy 1 girl mindset. Yeah, everything hit very clean and whatnot, just makes me sad that this is what cheer is coming to. Especially since this kind of stuff is becoming common in the college world now.
A million times shimmy.

College cheer will forever be thought of 1 base 1 flier, in fact theres a whole forum dedicated to it here http://fierceboard.com/forums/college-cheerleading.111/

Now in the all star world which is what we are talking about, it is rare to find HS aged kids doing partner stunts. I dont know many high school sophomores that have the technique let alone strength to do collegiate stunting. BUT we are taking great steps to incorporate and reward partner stunting.

It is not rare to have high school kids doing single base stunts. Its just the all-star world doesnt have the coaches that want to (or sometimes even know how to) teach how to single base. I am a high school coach and I have 8 guys single base stunting and have had a few more than that come through the program already.

And you also have to remember that those guys dont have to through 2 to whip dbls or other specialty and extremely difficult tumbling. Theres a lot more to the score sheets than partner stunting. You keep talking about hs and college but thats just it. All star isnt hs and college its All star. They're all diff, but now with the new score sheet coed teams have to partner stunt which is great.

They are different but what I was commenting on how you were saying that it is rare to find high school aged kids partner stunting.

Thats because it is, well at least on the west coast. Most hs dont have a qualified cheer coach. Most of them are just teachers that cheered in hs if even that. Im sure if there where more qualified cheer coaches in hs then there would be more partner stunting. But that just isnt the case.

With a shrinking number or male stunters going into college and even all star I would think it would be safe to say that it is rare to see true partner stunting in high school cheer. That is why they are trying to incorporate true coed stunting into all star because it is disappearing fast.

They are a talented group of people showing off their skill. They are doing stunts that teams had trouble with all season after practicing the stunts all year. That is pretty dang impressive to me.
