So instead of making a new thread I figured I would just post here. I'm about 2 months out from my marathon (it's the end of February) and I'm up to 9 miles. But I noticed my pace isn't getting any better and actually starting to drop. Right now my schedule is short "timed" runs Tues/Thurs (3-4 miles), cross train Monday and Wednesday (I normally swim or cycle), yoga Friday, off Saturday, and long run sunday. My long runs have been adding a mile every week, except last week it dropped to 7 but back up to 10 this week. I also started lifting again in there, days depend on my schedule and what else I decide to do that day. Do you have any suggestions for changes? Or do you think what I'm doing is working?
Also, do you run with music? I can't run without it, the sound of my breathing and footsteps would drive me to insanity. I have been listening to pandora while I run, but it's been killing my phone and racking up my data. I was going to see if you have a playlist or any song suggestions to start building a playlist? I just like anything upbeat... and loud lol I listen to bleed it out, caked up, and hip hop and pop power hour pandora stations now if that gives you an idea of what kind of music I listen to.
