Me and Romania.

Anyway. Nadia Comaneci said last fall that they have a lot of youngin's coming up that will be ready for 2020. I'm holding her to that.

Also did anyone read Ponor's farewell post on instagram? So sad
I did... here it is for people who don't follow her on Instagram:

It's so sad. [emoji25]

... but it's also nice to see she's finally able to enjoy herself. No more having to carry the weight of her country's gymnastics programme on her shoulders:

Is it bad I'm more excited for MAG than WAG this Olympics

No, I almost miss the suspense of WAG. I love that the US has gotten to a point where there's no doubt they're winning, but it's not nearly as fun as it used to be. Now it's like, "oh, which US girl is taking silver to Simone in this event?"

Exactly. Love my dominant and confident team USA but they're so robotic I don't even worry that they're going to fall in team finals. Event finals maybe. But MAG is everything I want WAG to be. Surprises medalists, intense competition and down to the last routine winners. On every given event there's like 4 or 5 guys that could win.

MAG team finals in London was a served like a plate of heart attack... down to the very end when Japan contested their score and jumped two places up. I expect the same "down to the last athlete" excitement to happen, not sure whether my heart is ready, I'm still recovering from Cheer Worlds. [emoji24]

I know right!! still salty over worlds 2014 and Japan losing by. 001 my heart broke into tiny pieces. Honestly I'm not ready for that kind of suspense especially when Love unfinished last on high bar every team competition and he has fallen in every single on since 2011 except for the 2014.

Just F.Y.I., the Olympic draw for the qualifications round have been released...

Russia and China start on beam in their respective subdivisions... U.S.A. ends on beam, so the two individual AA spots for U.S.A. will basically be decided by beam. [emoji28][emoji28][emoji28]

Also, Eythora Thorsdottir new floor routine with upgraded tumbling, loving that 3/1 twist into a punch front:

Cătălina Ponor training on uneven bars... that's right, you read that correctly:

Looks like she'a gunning for the one and only Romanian WAG spot for Rio.

Sanne Wevers hopefully has a podium finish on beam. That routine looks so effortless and the triple looks so solid.

Side note: has anyone seen Mustafina's IG where she did a quad turn in split position? :D
