So in NH there is no governing body for middle school. Each competition host can basically make up their own rules and guidelines. They are usually pretty reasonable and easy to follow however, there are always gray areas. NHIAA rules have A divison and B division. A division follows same rules as high school excluding baskets and doubles (before doubles were taken out). B division is prep level or 2 legged extended stunts no twist downs and no one legged extended stunts unless in a pyramid and then it says "1 legged extended pyramid allowed if pyramid is braced on both sides before extending". Here is my question.. when they say BRACED.. does that mean two preps on each side must hold both of the flyers arms and then extend restricting the flyer to just a lib extension? or can one prep hold a foot and then extend thus allowing the flyer to do a hitch ? It is kind of a weird question but they are all so picky and you never know what you can and cannot do as there are no SET rules so it is easy to get called on something !
