Deleted my post because you said it better than I did. LOL

Where I come from two adults should be able to resolve things peacefully! I also have a copy of Dj talking about attacking me which i find to be a threat along with post from people on this board talking about his bullying tactics!

Tell the victim to move on when she is receiving text at school just today, smh.

Right... I was trying to read everyones replies before I offered my suggestion... which would be to Name Names!.... ain't nothing like a lil public shaming if this is the truth

I understand where you are coming from. However, i just want it to stop so we can Move on. I wanted advice on how this type of situation could be dealt with. There have been so many post lately about teen suicide due to bullying and I don't take it lightly. I really think the advice given and the inbox messages will help me in deciding how to proceed. Right now I am happy that she don't have to watch the video with the comments. Now, hopefully no more text!! I am going to consult with an attorney at my agency tomorrow to get some legal advice. Plus this is the fierceboard name I had when my daughter cheered there so I'm praying that the owner will finally put an end to the behavior.

Right, I understand that completely. My sister experienced a bully situation with a new coach at her old gym which resulted in my mother/sister pulling my sister and niece from the program (and no they don't get to cheer at all) and I desperately (and would have no problem with) wanted to blast the truth about this particular coach and the situation in any arena available...but being a longtime friend of the owner of the gym and out of respect for the program she is trying to build I kept my mouth shut.

However..sometimes the fact of the matter is, shedding light on these type of situations is the only way to stop it. They need to know that they cant treat anyone any kind of way in an attempt to "build a name for themselves".

Supposedly you should be able to file a complaint with USASF and they should step in to mediate and help take care of the situation. It's my understanding that you can file a report against a person but not an organization, or possibly the other way around. I'm honestly not sure, other then I know someone who tried this and it ended with no action taken on their behalf. Slightly different situation thou.

Try it, keep your daughter positive and try to ignore it as much as possible. It's been my experience that bullies are trying to get a reaction, when you ignore them it will get worse for a little while but then should die out when they don't get what they want.

This is what I meant when I said ignore it and move on. If the old gym is saying things to her at competition, or whatever, be the bigger person. I don't agree with the text messages, and that's something I would probably do something about.

Flaming if it was me and my daughter was getting nasty text messages I would change her number.

I'm not tech savvy at all so I don't even know if this is possible but I had a friend who blocked calls from a certain person she did not want to keep in touch with. She had a blackberry and it the carrier was verizion. I don't know if you can call your phone carrier and ask them how to go about blocking the number.

Hope that helped.

Thanks cheerdad and ladies and I agree with the block thing in which we have done in the past. Unfortunately, my daughter recently gave her new number to the athletes she still considered friends. Regardless of the last couple of days, I am claiming victory for this too shall pass!

I hope you find your angry bone and use it because there is nothing peaceful about this. You need to be firm. Go to the people in the highest position and call that gym out. This will make your daughter so much stronger. She needs to hold her head up high and brush them off. Once she understands that what they say doesn't determine who or what she is, she will be fine. I hope she can learn how to not let them phase her.
