Hey I have realized that in Canada the cheer abilities team who are non competitive are not as supportive as the cheer abilities teams who are actually competitive. Cheer abilities is a division for athletes with different abilities (disability). There are a lot of athletes with sensory issues that being at a cheer event can be challenging enough. Plus loud music, noisy crowds and lots of people. To those who think the non competitive cheer abilities is a break judges included you don’t know how much effort we put in to get our routines ready. A lot of us don’t like people near or in our bubble but we over come. Most teams have a whole summer to get ready for cheer abilities non competitive their is only a couple of month and an hour a week to get ready for the gym showcase or the first cheer event. Another thing getting an outstanding performance banner at every single competition is not motivating to the older ones and the teams that get an outstanding performance awards see other cheer abilities teams get medals make us feel not supportive. If you are at a competition and there is a cheer abilities non competitive cheer abilities team put your phone away and watch these amazing athletes shine. Let me know if you have ever watched a non competitive cheer abilities team?
