People need to get a grip. How about if she said "I'm a child... I don't actually get to choose where my family lives." If her parents were moving, then I doubt a 16 year old would have any say in whether they moved, whether she went with them, etc. At least any 16-year-old of mine wouldn't. If I have to suddenly move across the country from Chicago, I wish my daughter would try to tell me she couldn't go because of dance.
For the record I'm not buying any of this. I don't think for one hot second her family just happened to be making a move to Kernersville, NC. I don't believe for one hot second that she left smoed because she was moving. And I reeeeeeally don't believe for one hot second that a flyer just happened to quit the same week, and that CEA didn't have 57 alternates already waiting for that spot.
If people knew even 5% of the behind the scenes shadiness that goes on in cheer.... It never ceases to amaze me how much people believe.
(Side note: not in reference to Jenee, just to the earlier conversation. If your child's cheerleading "career" is more important to you than their education, you really need to check your priorities. If you home school because it's a better way for your family, then fine. I home schooled my daughter because it was the best choice for her, educationally. If you home school your child so they can spend more time at the cheer gym... I'm side eyeing you so hard it's giving me a headache.)
