Out of curiosity if you left CEA why is your default picture still CEA?

Did you skip over the part where I said I still have a lot of friends from the gym and in no way should any of this detract from the other athletes who are happy there and still work hard? My CP doesn't ever want to cheer again, so we never changed gyms. I went to Worlds last year to watch and support SE and a few of my close friends?Does it bother you?

I'm not sitting here rooting for them to fail ya know. I love watching them perform, even the little ones. I've had this AV since I joined and most ppl recognize you by your name and AV.

Just going to throw this out there...I'm almost 21 and I just stopped growing within the last year.

I stopped when I was 12 :(

I think I'm also just disappointed cause I had so much respect for the fact that I never saw Jenee and or her family or CEA staff participate in drama and childish behavior and that is a big reason I loved both parties so much. I just don't like the tone this whole thing has taken. I'm assuming both parties had to agree to that video. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I'm not sure these videos get approval before posting. I can think of a couple JTV videos that were re-edited after being posted (once because he showed stunts that were still supposed to be secret, and another time because he showed footage that he hadn't realized put some kids in a difficult position).

No matter if the video was supposed to be a joke or not, it was unnecessary.

When I watched the video I burst out laughing because I definitely was not expecting that.....and I think maybe it was just some sorely needed comic relief for us after a heartbreaking loss in Dallas and 1 of our team member's ditching us mid season. At least that's the way I took it.


I can admit that mileage will vary based on how you feel about the situation as a whole. JMHO

Three things about the CEA vid.
1. To me it feels like they're looking for an "ooooooooooh *bleep* just got real" reaction
2. They make it look like Jenee has betrayed CA or CA has betrayed her in some way and now she's back for blood (figuratively of course)
3. It's pretty stupid since there is no bad blood between athletes and she's not even going up against Smoed and the music makes it feel like people have something to worry about

I'm now waiting for CA to respond and do something similar :/

Girl thank you! I had to stop posting because I was so tired of saying this.

I really wish people would stop using the word tough and acting like I don't know what tough coaching is, and therefore I must be confusing bullying with tough coaching. Can people really not understand there is a difference?

And do people really not understand that CSP is not the only coach there?

The video... I just didn't get it. I must have a different sense of humor because I didn't think it was funny. I wasn't bothered by it - it just wasn't humorous to me.

Personally I couldn't even grasp what the rest of this post said because this statement in my opinion is the most confusing thing I've read. Winning worlds doesn't make you a good coach? Winning the Super Bowl doesn't make you a good coach? What? Guaranteed it's probably easier to win a championship with a great coach and less talented athletes than for a poor coach to win with amazing athletes. Furthermore, if csp hadn't taken senior elite and changed their routine after day one of worlds and done what she thought necessary do you really think they would be world champs right now? That's a great coach. If this wasn't what you were trying to say, than sorry for the rant.

I think for @Just-a-Mom (as there is for me) there is a difference between a successful coach and a good coach. A successful coach wins. A good coach has so many qualities that it would be hard to list them all. A successful coach can also be a good coach, and a good coach can also be a successful coach. But you can be a good coach without being successful and vice versa.

Yes, this. @abbyandy9 good coach and successful coach are not interchangeable. I have never put my kids in any activity simply for them to win titles. @Emily put it perfectly.

As I've been following this thread my main thought has been "no wonder this sport isn't taken seriously". Athletes, coaches, and gyms using social media to win favor and one up each other all while making this sport look ridiculous. It's a shame some need social media attention to feel good about themselves. The wins, titles, and globes should be enough.

I get what you're saying, however this is one person saying this. There are hundreds of kids that have gone through her program including many athletes that have been there 10+ years. I get that not every athlete clicks with every coach but that doesn't mean that said coach is not a great coach. Her record (both winning and with her athletes) speaks for itself.
