Wow, they just seem to bleed kids if this is true. And no, I don't believe for a minute it is because the workouts are too hard. Other programs work just as hard and don't lose as many kids
It's bound to happen when you have so many kids moving to be a part of your program. It's a big decision, and you're going to have some that decide it's not for them. Other programs have kids who travel, but many of them are still able to live at home and just commute, or they grow up in the program and don't move 3000 miles away for one season.

I don't necessarily think they were overly rough in the video. (I don't follow any of them on twitter, so I can't speak to that) But I do believe it's pretty hypocritical to have such a harsh reaction when your team is basically made up of athletes that have quit other teams. They seem to have no problem recruiting replacement athletes mid-season.

You get to handpick your top 20 kids from hundreds of applicants every season. Don't be so upset when one of those doesn't pick you in return.

This girl is doing the most to keep current.. At 18/19 years of age trying to get attention when the situation doesn't concern you is just childish. No matter what the "smamily" bond is she doesn't need to be starting problems.
If you think about it, bashing people here is no different than what they're doing. Lol
We should all take a breather. Haha

Been watching this conversation but silently head bobbing along until this post.

YAS!

Thank you.

Yes, New Zealand boy has left, apparently for another program. Here's the thing, when you build your team on recruits, you open yourself up for things like this to happen.

I have heard that a female athlete from another program (Colorado maybe, not 100% on which state she's from) was trying out for smoed yesterday. I feel for her organization when she tells them she's leaving. Though I hope those kids don't take to Twitter about it.

That makes sense. Wasn't one of their tweets about someone else taking/recruiting athletes, possibly from them of am I just imagining that?

Wth, you remember everything else but not these details? Jeesh. Just kidding.

Was actually thinking of this exchange but couldn't recall who was really involved.
Actually the part I didn't remember about everything she responded to me I went and looked up but I guess I never saved our email. So I then decided to go to my sent mail because the thread would be in there but unfortunately my sent email drops off just before that date. So I don't have it. Which is weird because I have screenshots and emails saved for everything. I even have every text I have sent for the past 4 years. Lol which is why the storage shows that messages takes up more space on my than my photos and videos and a lot of people know I make and take a million videos.

So the NZ guy left for another USA-based program? It seems like they may get upset when people go to other new teams, as opposed to no team (like Gabi) or back to where they came from.

If Gabi ever comes out and announces she's cheering somewhere else, it will be interesting to see how they react to that.

I think how cheer is very, very team oriented sport may contribute to these kids' hurt feelings - its really wrong to bash someone online though, someone should have taught them better by now - they are 17/18, not 10/11 w/ their first cell phone ever.

I haven't seen any tweets (I follow the right people apparently), I heard through this site, and friends at other organizations that Twitter exploded.

I'll be very interested to hear what makes the youtube show. If Cali, E or O have any creative control, I'm thinking very little of what went down airs.

If the environment and support from coaches, staff, and housing is positive enough I do not think the turnover would be as high with kids calling them bullies and leaving disgruntled.

Very true! It just annoys me because it's been stated how much of a leader she is and how much the team looks up to her.! With her being older I think she should lead by example or stay quiet..!

Don't you just love vaguebooking? Especially from adults?

Seriously, is this more common in the US than elsewhere or am I just lucky with the people, I follow on Facebook and Twitter?
We're just lucky, I guess :D (Btw- I'm totally channeling SJP from Hocus Pocus in this moment lol)

Side note: HEY TEENS!! Know what's a great outlet for your rage, frustration, sadness, betrayal?

YOUR PILLOW. USE IT. You can yell/cry/scream into it and nobody will hear you. You can express your pain without dragging the whole of the industry through your mud. It even catches your tears! It's wonderful. I myself use it on occasion after a long days work.

Yes, she is. Unfortunately she is from my daughter's team. Coaches found out when her mother called the gym an hour before practice on Sunday. I doubt the team will post anything. My CP will find out tonight but she is pretty sure that she was replaced last night.
