I thought they made the change to November 1 regardless. It stuck in my head since we don't start to compete until mid January so it seemed unfair.

So two things have to happen...it has to be 11/1 or later AND you have to competed with another team at any level.

So if you never competed....or you competed at that jamfest this last week (before 11/1) you don't need a waiver. But anyone who competes from this point forward with any level team has to have a waiver if they want to compete on the worlds floor. That's my take on that.

Which means people can continue to move free and clear until their teams compete for the first time.

Pretty much, yes. Granted, many worlds-level teams start competing in December, so it's not like there's a huge amount of time left.

Totally off topic (well not really) but the one part of the twitter explosion I can't stop laughing over at random increments is the one kid who tweeted this other program were a bunch of "snacks in the grass."

I totally wanted to respond and ask if the five second rule applied in this situation but I refrained.

I get what kids are going to do on social media in these types of situations. They're kids.

I side-eye any adult who participates with them.

I can't keep up with twitter. I never know who to follow and I miss all the good stuff. I don't see how people keep up with that stuff without being on twitter all day.
