I am not good with hair so I make sure I give myself plenty of time to take care of CP's on comp days or even the day before. I do get a lot of compliments on her hair which is nice but I will never admit to how many hours it took me or all the cursing/tears that took place while trying to get it done. The second part of this confession: there is a mom who says "I just can't do my CP's hair!!" She has been running around comps for 2 years already saying this, and someone will always come to her "rescue" and do her CP's hair! I'm convinced she does that just to get other people to do her CP's hair. I have seen coaches do it, other parents...I pretend like I am busy with something else and walk the other way!!

One of the happiest days in cheer life was when younger cp started poofing own hair and doing own makeup. So much stress taken off of my day.

I LOVE hair and makeup. I will voluntarily help others because I cannot stand jacked up hair and makeup, and certian moms know it. We are new to cheer so the other moms are just picking up on this, but i typically have 4-5 girls to dofor dance every time we perform. i would rather do that than have tragic hair and makeup. There are times I have to stop myself from saying "why don't you just let me do that". Biggest pet peeve is messy ponytail ( how can you not figure that one out?) and people who don't blend eye shadow. I cannot stand seeing a girl with striped eyes.

I'm only 16 but I agree! Tanning beds are soo bad for your health and unnecessary in my opinion. I read about cheerleaders tanning every week? I really worry about them.

I have a confession, it's real. This just happened a couple of weeks ago.

I had no idea that people would leave gym A, come to gym B and talk smack about gym A, then go back to gym A only days after talking smack about them in the lobby of gym B.

I do understand that this parent most likely went to the lobby of gym A her first day back and talked smack about gym B.

Thankfully when she tried to talk smack about gym A I would try to nip it in the bud. I have friends at gym A and she was talking crap to kids about kids (which is a whole 'nother issue).

I say so long trouble....but seriously, who does that?

It is deadly. I don't go out in the sun unless I have on SPF 1,000 lol! I live in Florida and my father has skin cancer just from working outdoors. I wear sunscreen on my face everyday.

Me neither, luckily I live in England so don't need to worry about day to day sun! Sorry to hear about your father :(

Agreed. We buried my 46 y/o friend and co worker on the first day of school about two years ago from aggressive melanoma. She blamed it on lifestyle of tanning beds in her teens and twenties. I miss her :(

I'm Scottish and I spent a year in North Carolina and still only came home a couple of shades darker than when I left! Had to top up with a bottle to make it look like I'd got a really good tan!! The thought of tanning beds scare me because it's so easy to become addicted to them! Bottle all the way!
