All-Star Confused About Gym Merge Of Fierce And Oc

I know this was discussed before but hoping someone can explain to me the Fierce and OC merger now that they've competed. At GSSA, OC competed as OC, but Fierce competed as Fierce Force, and then there was Force. Can they have crossovers on all three? Why is there the Fierce Force but not OC Force. I'm sure there's a good explanation, but can't seem to figure it out.

I'm not sure about this, but I think just their level 5's merged?

I was told because Force Fierce changed their name to Force they can have cross overs from Fierce but OC Allstars can't. Seems a little unfair to me but if it works for them.
