Probably true about them wanting you to purchase "their overpriced shirts" but keep in mind that they are a business. That being said you can create your own logo/saying in the team colors.....and personalize it with your daughter's name or whatever you would like it to say. Good Luck!We have always made are on cheer shirts ( moms at the gym), cheer jerseys, shoes, scarves.....lol we recently switched to a new gym because of a move, and find out they have a strict rule that you can't make your own shirts or gear.....I'm not happy at all. I asked we'll what if I just make one with the team and my daughters name on it. I was told you can not make anything with the team name on it and use it or wear it. Anyone else think this is crazy? Why wouldn't they want the team supported at comps.....oh yeah cuz they want you to buy there ugly over priced shirts.

I've always found it disturbing when I see parents at competitions with shirts that are all about their own kid rather than about the gym on the whole, but that's just me. I know there are plenty of parents who will disagree with me and I'm good with that.Tosh: that being said though, they only have like 2 shirts and they are the gym name not the teams themselves. So when we go to comps we want to show support to our child's teams. We said about the colors and team name and still got vetoed. I have no problem buying their shirts if they had some made. I'm always into supporting the gyms. I guess I'm just used to our old gyms that we could make anything to support our gym and team.

I agree with you completely. I get lots of request for t-shirts from individuals and I always check with thegym owners first. And 90% of the time they are okay with it and will make sure it is offered to anyone in the gym. I too like to see everyone with their prospective gym shirts on. I do also like to see the individual's kids name on the back like "SUSIE's MOM" or something like that.I've always found it disturbing when I see parents at competitions with shirts that are all about their own kid rather than about the gym on the whole, but that's just me. Most gyms we have been part of did not allow parents to make their own shirts using the gym name or teams because they as a gym want final control over any product that is out there using their name. Is it solely for selfish profit making reasons? Possibly, but on the other hand, it is their gym and their name/logo, and have the right to determine what can and cannot be done with it.
