This show irritates me. I could not put up with any of these people. It's definitely a train wreck though! I may have to watch again

Oh my god I finally managed to find dance moms online and it is mental. Can't wait to see the next episode.
My mom thought I was taught by some crazy people at times but none of them have anything on Miss Abby. I think this is going to be my new guilty pleasure lol

Growing up in dance and then starting to cheer after I left dance when I was 18, I can truly say that dance moms are nuts. I can remember multiple times where moms made other kids cry, or got into fights with teachers or other parents, but none were ever as bad as the parents on Dance Moms. To be honest, I think the show should be called "Crazy Insane Dance Teacher." The woman is nuts. I had a studio owner/choreographer almost exactly like her (including the deep voice and body shape) for 10 years, and she absolutely terrified me.
Cheer coaches can get mad, but the six year old inside me will never be as terrified of a coach as it will of Miss Abby.

I don't see what's so bad about Miss Abby, I think the moms are wayyy worse! Chloe's mom in last night's episode was awful!! Is it really that big of a deal that Maddie had one more solo than everyone else?

I just found out that I know someone who works there. I was told that Miss Abby truly is as crazy in real life a shown on TV, if not more so.

Just caught it for the first time last night - the episode where the mom was upset that Maddie got two solos.
Oh. My. Gosh. She was something else! Demanding that Maddie's mom pull her from one of the other solos just to make it fair for the other girls? Like Maddie's mom is just going to roll over and say, "Okay!"
I have never seen a cheer mom freak out like that, although I did know a mom who's daughter didn't make flyer so she quit the program. She said, "If ____ can't fly this year, then we're done. We're not paying all this money to watch her BASE!" Nice life lesson she was teaching her daughter - if you don't get your way, then quit. :eek:

I literally got sick watching the episode online....
First I would have walked out of the restaurant when that Crazy Cathy chick started in with her garbage about supporting the team not being her "like". Did you notice later how she complained about not feeling like part of the team? Seriously? Then the way her daughter begged her to not make her keep doing dance and she ignored her, then berated her performance after she competed! AND CHRISTY!!! OMG!! How Melissa kept from beating the ever living life out of her in that room is beyond me?! If any mom ever made my daughter cry the way she did I would be in jail. And demanding she pull her daughter's solo? I would have ignored her to....All of these mom's except for Nia's are absolutely insane!
