I love sitting in the stands and jotting notes about other teams. It helps me pass the time and I'm a little ADD anyway. Has everyone figured out the new scoresheets yet? I don't feel like I'm ready.

At worlds in 2011, for the first time ever, I came off the floor and my mom had a paper with notes about the other teams in the division and how we stacked up to them. I loved it, because my mom usually hates everything to do with cheerleading. I started tearing up with she showed me because she was SO excited about what she did for me (and it was my last competition...so I was already an emotional train wreck). but it was the most my mom has done for me as far as supporting my cheerleading career and it was definitely something special to me.
At NCA College Nationals (and All-Star Nationals) they post your scores shortly after you perform. I used to see tons of moms with their little lists of scores figuring out if their kid was moving on to finals. I always wished my parents would have just made the trip to Florida, never mind sitting in the stands keeping track of scores.
Thats so sad to hear that parent dont go to support their children- I dont watch football on tv- but watch every single game my son plays in. In the 12+ years my daughters competed I missed 1 competition for my older daughter because my younger daughter had a very important competition on the same day- And I coached that team. When my older daughters team competed I was put on speaker phone and cried the entire time because I wasnt there. Im sorry for the kids whos parents CHOOSE not to go time goes so fast and this is time you missed with your child.
