OT Gastric Bypass?

Hey, I didn't really know where to post this but my mom is having gastic bypass surgery Monday and I'm scared to death. I heard that most deaths from this occur after the person goes home and I'm not worried about anything happening during the surgery because she's having it done at Vanderbilt but I've never been so nervous in my life. I'm also scared for her because I'm leaving for Florida again on the 21 and that's only a few days after her surgery.
Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone on here maybe had it or knows someone who did and kinda tell me what to expect?

My mom had it over 20 yrs ago..in her case it saved her life....I do not know anything about your moms surgery....but she is in my prayers...just be there for her and help where you can...:) I think if you are there right after and a couple days...that will be good.:)

As long as she follows the doctors orders for her post op care, I'm sure she'll get through it :)
