Getting In Shape For All Star Cheerleading

I want to tryout for the all star cheerleading in November and I have never done cheerleading before. I'm 5' 4" and 160 lbs and I want to get down to 110 lbs so I can be a flyer. Does anyone have any tips on getting in shape for cheerleading?

Definteley get in a cheer/gymnastics gym as soon as possible to work on tumbling and jumps on a spring floor. Hope this helped Happy Posting !
 
Thank you for the link! I'm looking though her site now and yeah but I'm hoping to be good enough to move up to a full year team.
