Also 'faze' is a real word, and it means something completely different than 'phase'.

Incorrect: It didn't phase me.
Correct: It didn't faze me.

I think everyone needs to do what my mother did, and just hand out the Dictionary of Disagreeable English when I was in high school, so I could just smack people with it when they said something wrong.

Also can we talk about people doing silly things here as well! Because I have ENDLESS stories of people incapable of basic math from working in a restaurant.

can someone teach me the difference between centre and center.. i would used centre for a place (like the bell centre) but would use center for saying "she's in the center", but my phone (and fierce board) corrects center to centre every time!!!

Don't quote me on this, but one of my English teachers told me once that "center" was US English, and "centre" non-US English.
