Eh, it's in the dictionary, even if it's not 100% correct. It's not as wrong as saying alot instead of a lot.

Ain't is a word. It's not to be used in formal writing, but it's a colloquialism. Alot is just plain wrong.

I'll agree to disagree about alright. As a former English Major it was beat into our heads that it was completely unacceptable to use. So I'm just being picky about it.

And ain't makes me cringe.

But "alot" should be a sin it's so wrong.
