It is a shame that UK cheer world is so small that you are not free to try other gyms...It should not be catty that a person must leave a sport entirely because they are unhappy on 1 team...I believe moving and trying different gyms may help you grow and for some people reach new heights in skills... That is why I love US cheer, we have so much to choose from and if you are not receiving something at 1 gym, you are free to leave and try other gyms, most of the times, the other gym may ask what gym you cheer, but I think it is only for placement purposes only... (at least, I think so)

Its not too bad if you go from quite a small gym to a mega gym to be on a higher level but when it comes to other reasons it can especially in scotland and I have heard wales it does get catty. I have recently thanks to vacation found out I really enjoy ballroom and latin dance and other dance styles so if I want to cheer I would like a program with strong dance program so I can learn dance as well as cheer luckily most of my team are supportive of it because they don't offer dance there but when I was going thinking of switching at the end of the season just for cheer some were a little put out
