Hey everyone, its Jatara. I'm doing a Statistics project on the relationship between height and competitive cheerleading. It's proven that gymnastics can stunt your growth, and I think the same could be true for allstar cheerleading. I think the pressure of tumbling and stunting on our bodies (especially for bases and backs) can have a major effect on the cheerleader's backs, etc. Personally, I know the doctors once thought I would be 5'8 or 5'9. I'm down growing now and anyone who knows me, knows that's far from true haha I'm 5'3 if I push it : ) I don't think it effects everyone that much, but I think there could deff be a correlation... Here's what I need!
Age: (only for cheerleaders 14 and up please!)
Gender
State
Years cheered
Age that you began cheering
Hours per week you spend practicing (include workouts outside the gym)
Height
Stunting position
Finished growing? If you know
If you have any questions, feel free to pm me. I'll be collecting data for about a little over a week, and then I need to start analyzing it. I need a lot of samples, so please help me out and reply. It only takes a minute!
Thanks so much everyone : )
