High School Competition

I'm only a sophomore and our High School doesn't have competitive cheer team. However; I'm trying to get a non-tumbling one in place for next year and I was wondering what the dates are for competition season. The only thing I know is they aren't the same time as football, but our coach insists. I've been cheering for forever and always would compete so I find it extremely weird that we don't especially since the non-tumbling division opened up.

Do you mean how long is the competition season? It depends on the region your live in, but typically its December-February possibly even March

ETA; Oh, and good luck with trying to get a team! I hope your coach says yes!
