All-Star How Are Your Lower Level Teams Treated?

We are new to cheer, and my CP is on a prep team, so I don't have a ton of experience, but I will say that I feel like they are expected to give the same effort and respect to their team as our older girls are. The coaches also coach older teams and push them just like they do the older kids. It is obviously age appropriate since they still little, but they are still treated the same way. Our gym owner goes to all the comps, even the ones where it is just our little kiddos on the prep teams competing. The pride in all the teams is there. Even when my CP's team is practicing and there are older kiddos as well, they will tell them how great they are doing and congratulate them on their wins. It really is a family feel.

Well, sensitive or not if the team deserves to be yelled at, I am probably going to yell at them. If you're messing around and putting other athletes or yourself at risk, you will be reprimanded. Period. If you don't want to get yelled at, pay attention and don't mess around.

I 100% agree. Our coaches also feel this way regardless of the level of the team.
