BHS: Got it when I was 9, was mental for a while, threw it again when I was 10.
Full: 12th birthday. It was a good present :)

Hey there!!! I'm wondering...how old were you when you threw your first back handspring? How about your first full, etc? What happened when it finally "clicked" for you? Did anything actually have to happen, or did you just get it one day? I'm just curious! Thanks!

Backhand spring- 5 yrs old
Standing back tuck- 7 yrs old
Standing double BHS to tuck- 8yrs old
running layout- 8yrs old
Full- 10yrs old (lost it at 15 yrs old)
Double full- 12 yrs old (lost it at 15 yrs old)
I lost my fulls because I broke my ankles and never went back to doing them but I still have my tumbling stat high

BHS: 14 then lost it because I didn't go to tumbling classes again until I was 16, got it but it was kinda janky, lost it when mom ruptured her achilles tendon and I couldn't drive yet. Finally threw it at 18 on the tumble track. I can't do it on the hard floor.
ROBHS: same story as above, I can throw them on the hard floor if I have a spot just following me, not touching me.

Tuck: 10 years old

I did my first BHS when I was about 9 or 10. I joined power tumbling, and got my full when I was 12. Standing tuck however? 16. In power tumbling, we were never allowed to do tucks, only layouts. I could not figure out how to set and tuck for the life of me! I still hate tucks.

First bhs when i was 13 and first full when I was 16. I was just doing layouts and put my hands in a different place and fulled.

i first got my bhs when i was seven, i was in gymnastics at the time, but nothing really happened, i just threw it one day!

Probably 7 and them my ro bhs shortly after, and then to bhs tuck when I was 8. I then had to take a break from cheer and lost the tuck, but I have it back now!

Full is propably never going to happen, spinning in the air is just too much to handle upsidedown, even on a trampoline...

Didn't start cheer until uni and there we had no tumbling coach. Now I've graduated my coach is being brilliant about getting me to do it with a combination of coaxing and no mercy.

BHS-8-10 not entirely sure but I quit gymnastics in 4th grade after a car accident and had my standing & running by then

Ro tuck- 20
Landed 1st full-19/20
(Pretty)Standing tuck-22
Standing bhs/series to tuck/layout-23
Just had my baby and have gotten just about all my tumblng back at 24. even going to get back to twisting :)

ETA: for me, skills do just 'click' like one day I have a moment of clarity and can just do it. Its just waiting for those moments to come lol
