I love creative voiceovers, themes, unique uniforms and creative routines. I like to be surprised when I see a new team. I don't want to see the same old stunts and transitions I want to see new things.

I love when the cheerleaders look happy and like they love the sport and wouldn't want to be any where else in the world then preforming. I love when coaches get excted when all the stunts hit. I love when your teammates cheer you on too.

And I love when teams hit.

I know at Worlds this past year, someone on Senior Elite yelled 1, 2, 3, then they all said EDITH and set.

Anyone know the story behind "Edith"??

I love it when the crowd says 8 counts after a team's music gets cut off (even though they never start on the right count haha)!

And I love it when coaches run to the mat to celebrate after their team has competed!

I love when trick passes go together and have perfect timing.
I also love when you can pause the video in baskets and everyone is perfectly together, same height/same skill!
Okay, just anything with perfect timing gets me!
I love when everyone cheers extremely loud for special needs teams.
I love when teams are nice to each other and truly happy for everyone.
:)

I like it when you hear teams yelling at each other in the dance! On a Varsity NCA movie I heard they screamed "Come on!" and "Yeaaaaah!" :) that's funnn!!!

I absolutely LOVE when a team may not have the greatest performance in the world, but at the end, they rock their dance out like they just hit a flawless routine. I love when athletes are able to recover when something goes worng, it's all a part of the sport!

Anyone know the story behind "Edith"??

If I remember correctly, she fractured her femur while competing at battle at the capitol on junior elite a few weeks before going to worlds with Senior Elite. She is an amazing tumbler and flyer. Just a great cheerleader in general! I am almost positive she has started to compete and tumble again since the accident. She's still on Senior Elite this year.

And I Like It When Teams......in teal and black win jackets, globes, and rings! :) I like it when teams' routines are synched to a t, but they still have flair and creativity that sets them apart. I like it when teams have 2 stunt sequences that hit. I like it when worlds bound teams nowadays keep the "cheer" part of cheerleading in their routine. I like it when teams keep the same music throughout the year and then at end of the year comps you can hear the crowd and parent sections singing along to every word. I like it when teams have sweet inversions in their stunt sequences. I like it when teams do more than just a double down to make the stunt sequence level 5. I like it when hitch/switch kick doubles are COMPLETELY synced. That's the only time I will ever compliment a kick double. Finally, I like it when the crowd is chanting a team's name before they come out, like the Cheer-Athletics with the claw thing, or WC where you motion a "W" and a "C" with your arms. I can't get enough of the whole arena doing that in sync!

Anyone know the story behind "Edith"??
She was the girl who broke her femur a month before Worlds at the Battle at the Beach competition and couldn't compete with them at Worlds. They dedicated their performances to her!

ETA: whoops! Didn't see pghx's response haha!

Ok since I did a pet peeve listI figured I'd do a Thinks I like...titled:
David's Favorite Cheer Things 2011!
1. I love fierce minis!...Any person that can get a mini team to be put together deserves an award!
2. I love small children who hairwhip!...It's soo flipping cute!
3. I love slow songs for stunt sequences in routines!..It makes t sequence more exciting I think
4. I love JR's music creativity, and Kyle Blitch's Voiceovers!...it doesnt get better
5. I love classy teams...enough said
6. I love that moment when you hit a clean routine and your competition is standing of to the side with clear concern on their face...priceless
7. I love how even though MD Marlins Tsunami got 5th at worlds last year they still thinkeveryone underestimates them...seriously chill -_-....we got it already your fierce relax :P

I love teams who look genuinely happy to be competing and smile for real like they're having a really good time. World Cup SS always have that presence about them. Just by the way they walk on the stage...they jump and run around the whole stage waving to everyone like beauty queens! They just look really happy to be there and that tells the audience "I love what I'm doing and you will too, so watch me". Teams who do over-the-top ridiculous facials just look bad but a good genuine smile gets me everytime.

Wow I just wrote an entire paragraph about smiling.
