All-Star Jamfest Indy Day 2 Updates And Discussion

what do the jackets look like this year? ive seen the banner, and plaque!

I don't know if anyone ever replied to you, but here are the first place jackets. (not grand champ)

ok... i dont mean this in a mean way.. but i was sitting down low and maybe i missed something, is anyone else confused how stars were in 3rd falling three times, but in 4th falling once??

I understand both sides.. Day 1 i said - ok they are favoring difficulty, they think its better to be difficult and fall then not quite as difficult and hit more

then Day 2 i said - ok, i understand diamonds hit and stars fell once, the team who hits should score higher..

However, I dont get how Day 1 and Day 2 conflict with each other.. I mean - Day 1 diamonds did fall, but not as much as shooting stars and shooting stars were still ahead, yet today they werent..

I am just confused can someone clarify a little? Did they switch judges up for day 2 that couldve changed it up a little, that would make sense? or did stars have more deductions today that I couldnt see from my seat (it was packed after all)

FCA hit Sunday and sunday's score was worth a lot more than Saturday's score. I don't think WC's fall in the pyramid counted as much as the stunt fall.

Just a correction in the small senior limited coed level 5 division - our scoresheet (OHIO VALLEY ALL-STARS) was added incorrectly. Jamfest has since made the correction and placed them 5th (not 7th as originally announced). They will be correcting it on the website when they are back in the office Tuesday or Wednesday. Apologies by jamfest were truly heartfelt and much appreciated. This event producer went above and beyond. Thanks JAMFEST!

Don't you have to keep all the same athletes on the floor though? Or is it the same number?

Same number...The whole alternate thing is confusing though. It's a list of 10 but 3 of them are separate. Not sure what they'll do as far as Ody vs Suns. Maybe they'll wait till Ody gets a bid to decide. My guess is they'll pull from Lites.

Max of 10 substitutions total. 7 Substitutions have to have competed with the same program at the bid winning event, up to 3 do not. You can also list up to 3 alternates not exceed your 10 total so. . .

If you put 7 substitutions and 3 alternates on your Worlds roster (smart person might make sure to have a base, backspot, and a flier) and someone gets hurt, the alternate takes their place.

If you max out with 10 subs then someone from your original team gets hurt, no one can sub even if they meet eligibility rules because you already maxed out with 10 subs. You'd have to compete 1 person down

If I'm not mistaken Suns got already got rid of their Ody crossovers. It's Ody that still uses 2 of the Suns girls.

Glad you all caught the mistake and Jamfest acknowledged it. Top 5 is something to be proud about ..for sure! Hopefully they get the bid. If not, I know they will get it next comp. They sure did battle back from day 1. Way to represent the Ohio Valley S5! So neat to be able to watch LIVE!! Hope this is a new trend and eventually all comps will have this feature.

Congrats to all the winners and the top 5 placements! I can't imagine how worlds is gonna be, i was so nervous for some teams as if i had to compete myself!

Yet another example of why scoring should be made public. How many times have similar mistakes been made in teams' favor? Those would almost never get reported.
