One thing that really bugs me is when you have an entire team doing 3 toe to tuck and your entire back line tries to fake the tucks. They stand out more than the ones who actually do it.

So excited for the Majors this evening!
they are just practicing and fixing some timing things.. not really like a warm up ..what are they warming up? they don't go for another 5.5 hours
i found that a bit weird too! warm up times awful early!what are they warming up? they don't go for another 5.5 hours

I feel like they do this because they believe they have to have like the "full 20" to be able to compete in Small divisions or the "full 30" to compete in Medium divisions & so on. However, they wouldn't want them to tuck because they'd probably all face plant not having the skill, but I feel like there's better ways to "hide" the fact they lack a consistent triple toe tuck, like maybe have them do triple toe forward roll or triple toe front punch (because for some people that's easier), or triple toe front punch to their butt (I don't know what that thingy is called) in between the triple toe tucks. One thing that really bugs me is when you have an entire team doing 3 toe to tuck and your entire back line tries to fake the tucks. I am watching F5 warm up right now and I see this itty bitty baby... prob like 12 or 13.. could you imagine being just 12 years old and on a LEGACY team.. I mean they were one of the first gyms to attend the first cheer worlds in 04.. and they were world champions last year... safe to say I am envious of a 12 yr old..
Let me tell you something.... Ive worked with a team, this is my 2nd season with them, and they placed last or next to last at every competition before jamfest. Guarentee, those are smaller but still how do you think you would compare getting next to last at small comps and then try and compete with harder teams at an event like jamfest. Needless to say, and Im not preaching about me specifically, but it comes down to Choreography. Plain and simple. You can choose to hide them, or give them something to do during that sequence. To me, IMO, its more ineffective to try and hide a back row of tuck jumps that will eventually lead to a much lower score. if blended correctly, even though its the same numbers of athletes performing the skill, the fact that none of them are hiding in such plain sight makes it feel less obvious/I feel like they do this because they believe they have to have like the "full 20" to be able to compete in Small divisions or the "full 30" to compete in Medium divisions & so on. I just don't see why maybe they don't compete with a team of 15 instead of something like 20 on a small team if all of those 15 athletes have all the skills because isn't score based partially off the number of athletes you have to maximize with? Like if you had 15, your max would be 3 4-person stunt groups, 3 4-person stunt groups & 1 3-person stunt group, or 5 3-person stunt groups. I feel like C4 Longhorns small coed is a good example of this this season.Let me tell you something....
