So you are comfortable with them offering it? I guess I have been there in the coaches area where they offer it as the regular coaches viewing area and such was up there and I will say that beyond the fact that I don't agree with it because they are just encouraging the behavior, I did not like the fact that I watched as they did not card coaches. This to me is an accident waiting to happen. Morally or not as an adult you or I may not partake, but that was not stopping underage athletes/coaches from doing it. Then after coaching their younger teams they would suit up and perform on international teams. I just think its a lawsuit waiting to happen. Does that make sense?

I understand what you are saying, but I don't think the responsibility should be on the EP but on the Coach and the choices they make. This is not something the EP is forcing on anyone.

I see your point of view, we just have different ones :). I don't even think it should be an option. I think it goes back to wanting to be seen and recognized as a sport. I don't see alcohol in the coaching rooms at gymnastics meets or any other sports for that matter. I wonder if they do this in other sports as well. Hmmm.

Drinking happens at almost every big comp, drinking is gonna happen wether they offer it or not. If your coaches are drinking at comps then thats something you need to take up with them not the EP. It goes to show you what kind of people they are. (I am not saying your coaches drink, I am just speaking in general.)

I guess I am just a prude, but I don't see cheer competitions as a venue to get drunk and wasted and be hungover coaching my kids the next day, not saying you do either. I just don't agree with even offering it. I am not ok with it being offered at the concession stands either. But to each their own. :p

and that is when you need to look back at your own coaches who are buying it and ask yourself why you are allowing someone who does that to coach your kids.

WestCoastCheer Are there at least 5 Level Six teams registered for this event? I am curious because on the Jamz website it says there needs to be at least 5 teams registered for an At-Large bid to be potentially given to a level 6 team.

There's 2 from OC and I think possibly Orange Crush so thats already 3 and I know Viqueens attended last year.
