My sister did it in 2010 and absolutely loved it. I believe that in addition to All Americans they give it to girls who have a leadership role on their squad, that's how she got it. The advanced stunts in the back are indeed staff from what she's told me and I know one of her roommates was a sophomore when they went so they may have changed the ages for it.

.....I do know that the prep that fell at tge beginning wasn't staff members.... (Varsity employee made sure to clear that up lol)

NCA/NDA and UCA/UDA do choose the top 10% at high school cheer camp. My daughter was chosen, but we went to the Houston parade.

Almost all the tumblers you saw were actually staff at either UCA or NCA. They wouldn't allow the high school kids tumble......my daughter asked (hahah).

I have to say we had an AMAZING time!! We met so many different people from all over. Oh, and having the police escort everywhere we went was cool!!

I have to give a big kudos to UCA and NCA for running this event so well!!

Each participant in the Macy's day parade is a Captain or Co Captain of a Varsity Squad in the 11th or 12th grade.

Cheerleaders that are chosen as All-Americans qualify for either London, Disney World, Philadelphia, or Houston depending on their age and location. The Macy's Day Parade sells out mid-summer each year because it is in such high demand! The College level stunts in the back are veteran staff members, most have cheered in college or taught college camps.
