I'll say it-Majors stunk. Being there, the arena was dead and people were bored. They have some major changes to make for next year because I have a feeling I would have been happier following along on here and twitter.

Results? Hmm. Congrats to those that won, but interesting to say the least.

The whole event left a strangely bad taste in my mouth for the spectators, so I'll take my negative nancy attitude elsewhere for the night before I get myself in trouble... I DO think it seemed like a fun time for the competitors however, and Eye was amazingggggg!

The full moon must really being doing something weird out there, beacuse I don't think that I have ever read such a sadbow post from you before. Just curious, who would you say was the crowd favorite or were they just so not into it that it didn't matter?

the videos sound quiet, like where is the crowd roar!?!?

0.17 close to first to be exact :)

Cheetahs hit their coed tick tocks, props to them! I feel like that was probably the difference given relatively close deductions.

All in all for me, it was an amazing event and I couldn't be more proud of my kid if I tried. I'm impressed any kid could withstand that pressure and take the floor without bringing a bucket with them. Great job to everyone!
I would NOT be able to do it, that's for sure. Especially with each individual getting introduced, that just adds more time for nerves to build up!

I like their routine... I just really wish they'd find a better way to work the dance into the corner. Walking over there waving their hands in the air isn't really working for me. And it seems like having the whole team do the running doubles is making it a little sloppy, it seemed a lot cleaner last year with 16 & the basket toss in the back.. Just my opinion though.

I get that the corner tumbling is kind of LL's thing, I just wish it was worked into a different part of the routine. It looks very forced with everyone dancing and then just walking over there and tumbling.

On the topic of introducing everyone individually. I think it plays into the whole "cheerlebrity" thing that I don't like. Like how it gave The Majors the opportunity to tweet out the enormous crowd reactions to specific athletes. I can't shake the feeling that was done that way for the Majors to show off the number of "cheerlebrities" competing there.

I know a very small fraction of these kids competing could be considered "cheerlebs", but I just think of taking the mat as a team. You don't win if the TEAM doesn't do it's job, it's not a individual sport. But I understand that everyone wants their moment in the spotlight. I'd probably feel differently if I was on a Majors team or had a kid who was. And it's something different I guess, so good for them.

I agree but I also think it's cool that everyone gets recognized and gets a little moment. I think it just adds a little something special for the athletes. Although if I was on a team competing I'd probably trip while running out after they said my name.

I think sometimes there's so much focus on the cheerlebrities that it's like they're the only one on the team and everyone else are the back up singers, so in that sense it was nice they were all recognized equally.

The flip side was feeling bad for the kid called after the cheerlebrity when the entire back half (I.e not athlete families) lost their ever-loving mind when the cheerlebrity was called and the next kid got the polite clap.

Absolutely would have been me. My University is one of the last few big schools that recognizes everyone by name and while they still ask people to hold applause, no one did. I was terrified the chick right before me was going to be super popular and my mom who paid so much for me to go to school would miss my name, haha

When did they start divisions?
They've always had divisions. They also had Cali Aces compete with large teams last year, it makes more sense to put a medium team with the large teams than with the small teams.

I love LL's new 2man tick tocks. Especially with the dramatic sound effect. I wish they would do their corner thing earlier in the routine when more of them could double instead of a handful. Also the timing looks off. Cali Lady Bullets stunts are so unique to me! Love them. Anyone have a Lime vid?
