I looked a little into pricing, it would add at least $30 to the price to ship it, unless someone can help find a way to do it cheaper? I feel like that's CRAZY expensive and I can't be doing this right.

If you are still interested I can go to the post office to get an exact price for you.

It's not that expensive, I sent 2 shirts to Australia and it was less than $10.

You likely wouldn't be able to send them cheque as cheques are deducted in the currency of the account the cheque is drawn from. It would work if you had a US account, but most likely you would have to send a draft/money order in US dollars.
