All-Star Maryland Marlins Merging With Maryland Twisters

I keep thinking about "Tsunami's" mix for this season... Its gonna be so awkward hearing the Twisters voiceover

like the Allstar Panthers-Rays 'merger', they did not lose their coaches. Though I'm also sad to see the actual name 'maryland marlins' go, they will be just as fierce as maryland twisters! same program, just a different name.

Its great to see the 2 gyms put their differences aside for the betterment of allstar cheer in the State of Maryland. Does anyone know if most of the athletes will transition over?

Supercells is over-subscribed right now, to my knowledge. And some of the 1-4 level are full. But other divisons are available, such as a Small Jr. 5 could be started, or co-ed vs. all girl, etc. Knowing MD Twisters/Tara, I'm sure there is a good game plan. They just have to wait and see how many ex-Marlins come over to Twisters.

They are not over rostered anymore...Last time I looked at the rosters which was today, I counted 33 or 34. So there are 2 to 3 spots available.

I'm with you on this one. Last I heard, Cells had several extra athletes.

They are no longer over roster...seems like every practice someone has decided not to cheer or take a year off.

So is this a merger in terms of the Maryland Marlins coaching staff is working at one of the current twisters locations or is the current marlins gym being closed and everyone, including coaches being disbursed between their current location. It's interesting to know the after math of where the staff is going.

I have such mixed feelings about this merge. I love Marlins and the success they have had through the years. But at the same time i wondered what the gym would be like if it merged for a while now. All that talent under one roof is going to be insane! Still mixed, but I am super excited to see what comes out of this. Good luck!

Im on twisters and i have a old best friend who was on marlins and she told me that they are re-evaluting there teams and that most of the team names are staying because they are storm related and she also told me that TSUNAMI SHALL LIVE ON!!!
