I understand the feeling of satisfaction when someone you feel has wronged you falls flat on their toosh. It goes along with voodoo-finger-wiggling while the other teams in the division perform. Which, by the way, I don't do anymore. As soon as I stopped doing that, we started performing really well...Coincidence? I think not.
So I'll say, for the record, SuperCells, I apologize for the voodoo-finger-wiggle. You magically deflected the negative spell projected your way and left that comp champions. We rode the Karma bus all the way home.
Live and learn, and get a filter. And don't voodoo-finger-wiggle.

OMG!! I was soooo not expecting this response!! But you have DEFINATLY started my day off on the right foot!!

Thanks!

Well lets turn it positive then. True confessions!

We attended (just to watch) a competition this weekend and it was the first time I'd been back in an arena with our original program (and if you've been around a bit you've heard some of the stories from the cray cray owner that boldly calls all of us who left her, Satan's Soldiers). No lie.

Anyway, it was not their typical competition seeing as how some power house gyms were there that she generally will not attend with to ensure she doesn't get beat. They're sortof a backyard bonanza sort of program.

That bring said, you know what? They did good! Their routines are much improved since we left (she's contracting that out now) the tumbling was more than I thought and those kids were really having a great time! They rocked it out! The parents were probably the loudest rowdiest of the competition and rather than relishing a beat down ...I was actually ...weirdly... sortof proud of them.

They had a lot of drama...they produce a lot of drama....they continue (4 years later) to be slanderous in the community. But, their cheer program is hanging tough. They market to a certain level if athlete (think rec cheer on steroids) and they did a great job. They didn't defeat the powerhouses, but the didn't look out of place either. They really should step up their schedule.

Well done, old gym.
I am familiar with the gym you are referring to. We competed against them in January. We finished 1st and they were 3rd. They went on the EP's Facebook page and bashed our program and team stating that they were robbed and we should not have beat them. They said the EP needs to rethink their score sheets, yada yada yada. They were cleaner, but we had a much higher level of difficulty. The post only stayed up a few hours before it was taken down. We never compete against that gym (that was the first time I'd ever seen them actually), but those parents were...umm, errr, let's say "intense"!

NoDrama, I gotta say, you scared the living shizzbuckets out of me!! At first I though you were talking about our old gym. That would have meant that I was one of those momma's, cause I think this has been their only comp this month!

Need to restart my heart!!

Have a nice day!

I bet that's because the Super Cell parents did the "stretched out arm stunt/pyramid holder upper move". I'm pretty sure, it is more powerful than the finger wiggle.

Where the heck were all of you yesterday when they darn near started a petition to have me tarred and feathered at Worlds Awards??? According to popular opinion, I am a horrible, negative, vendictive person!!! I guess only where I love is Karma a normal part of conversation. Heck, I'm not even angry any more, but I won't say that there wasn't any truth in it.....cause there was!!!

Y'all sure have started my day GOOD!!

Have a nice day!

This is quite hilarious and I'm a Celly mom and understand completely. Thanks for the compliment, we love your team and they rocked the mat!!

I also had to deal with coaches bashing not my child, but my parenting on facebook when we decided not to re-register with their program. The asst. coach had told me it was a waste of time and money to go to their nationals if your cp wasn't in a stunt or pyramid. Well mine wasn't. This rubbed me the wrong way but we were still going. Until cp decided to do allstars so she could use her tumbling skills. I was bashed on facebook for "teaching my child to quit" and other bad parenting remarks. They ended up not placing at their nationals but I don't think it was karma. I think it was the way they treated some of the kids like they were worthless. I still wish them luck on facebook when I know they have a comp. The girls were great. The coaches, eh.

Hmmm.... I've tried really hard to ensure I don't allude to who they are in the time I've been in the board. But I know you're correct because I saw the owner stated much the same thing on their own FB page where she also admitted she would never understand score sheets (i happened upon the response). You should hear what she says about us. ;)

Still, my issues used to be (I'm well beyond it now) with the lacking professionalism of the owner. I'm genuinely happy for their kids and parents that they are excited, happy and performing well... And she does set them up to be successful at their level and lavishes lots of public praise on them.

And in the end the kids are far more important than the adults in this sport.

We love yall too!! And I think catlady is right - you had the power of the streched out arm/pyramid/stunt thingy and that's like using "The Force." :)
