Thank you very much! I was especially proud of her this weekend. She showed some real heart out there when her base got tripped up fell down moving her to the front on day 1. She fought hard and got right back up there. I was so proud of her!

Ahhh, yes, fetus I found to be a little insulting. I didn't see that word used in this post. The post I read just said little, but maybe it got changed. I was new to Fierceboard when I read my very first post referring to my daughter as a fetus. Not having ever heard that term used I was taken aback and thought it wasn't appropriate.

Anyway, I certainly don't want anyone to get banned. This is a message board and at the end of the day that's the beauty of our US Constitution, it allows for free speech. As a cheer dad who loves to support my daughters by trying to understand their sport, I enjoy coming here to read about a world that is very foreign to me. I have learned a lot just by reading some of the posts here on fierceboard. At the end of the day I only want my daughter to be happy and confident and enjoy this fun sport that she loves so much!

So maybe a Butler family meeting should happen because the PM's were long and quite clear they were very offended and asked me to do something about it.

I know this is a message board and I have a responsibility to monitor it as one of the Admins/Moderators. I'm all for free speech, as long as it's appropriate. We do have young kids on this board as well. The AllStar Cheerleading section is not for those just over 18.

Anyhow, yeah, back to the family meeting. I stuck up for Gabi based on those previous IM's I received and took quite alot of heat for it. I don't regret it, HOWEVER, doesn't help when another member of the same household comes on with an "I'm okay" with it post. Doesn't make for a very happy Weezy.

Trying to be more PC. If people know they have lost before they get to the comp they can decide not to show up and get their hearts broken.

But remember now, I did not jump down a posters gizzard because he said a team deserved to win, just taking the opportunity to needle you a bit as a position so judgemental as the original post on deserve is usually not the typical postition of a progressive. I wonder if you may not be changing.

I was the one who contacted you originally and thank you for sticking up for Gabi. As I said, it was the FIRST time I had ever been on this site when I read the post. I actually found the post when searching for the video to my daughter's comp on google. I was very offended by the use of the term and took immediate steps to contact the moderator as well as the person who wrote it to express my displeasure with the use of the term to describe my daughter. The post I read on this thread didn't use that terminology. At least the one I read didn't, so again, perhaps it was changed after the fact. I am NOT ok with my daughter being called a fetus. I believe it is disrespectful.

But I NEVER asked for anyone to be banned, just for the post to be changed. And it was. Thank you for that!
