How was the sound system? Was the music clear? Was it Loud? Some years the sound system sounds great and some years, it's terrible. How was it this year?

Yeah my friend told me the same thing... bit of a shame for such a good comp. then again nothing is perfect

I saw on twitter it wasn't so great. Spectators saying it was awful and athletes saying they could barely hear their music on the mat!
I thought it was fine from the "sidelines", but the athletes said it was hard to hear on the actual floor. I heard more than a few kids say that they missed counts because they couldn't hear. It couldn't see any stage monitors set up aimed at the floor, so it was likely louder for the people in the crowd than it was for the athletes. I never made it to the stands, so I can't speak for what it was like there.

The lighting and visual setup for the arena was absolutely incredible. Easily the best ever for any cheer event. I can't imagine what that cost. It seems that the audio was a little lacking, unfortunately.

Sunday morning in the arena halfway through the routines the music became very low and muffled then kicked back up about 10 seconds later.

As a fan in the arena it was great. Cp #1 said it was hard to hear from the mat. Hall E wasn't great for Cp #2 or the fans. Watching from the side of the mat wasn't the best experience either.

I can't say what it was like in person, but from watching the live feed it wasn't that loud and the music sounded a lot different then it usually does. Of course this could be because it was a feed and somehow it muffled the music a bit, but it didn't sound off.

BASS was really loud from what Ive read on twitter

Music wasn't loud enough and I don't like the "hall" spectator or coach set up. You are so far away from the kids.

i couldnt even hear the music... they need to have some of the speakers facing the athletes, cuz i didnt know what count i was on at some points in the routine... ugh

I was only in the Arena on Saturday, but from the stands the music was the loudest at any cheer competition I've ever attended. Had to buy my wife earplugs.

Yeah it was very had to hear the music on the floor! I think thr speakers were pointed to the crowd not the stage!

How terrible it sounded was the first thing I noticed in the arena Sat. I don't think they actually adjusted anything in between, so it may have just been me getting used to it on Sun, because it seemed better.

I had no idea they made them that small, but I was glad to see someone who actually had ear protectors on their baby. Also, happened to be one of the cutest things I've seen.
