i am amazed at some of the comments i have seen on twitter about the 'america the beautiful' coke commercial. it was beautifully and tastefully done, representing what america is made up of these comments are repulsive.

These are the same people who think "America the Beautiful" is our National Anthem. I don't expect much intelligence from them to begin with.

I was about to say this. My "friend" is one of those people. She said something about only wanting to hear our national anthem sung in English blah blah blah. I couldn't resist commenting "Um... the ridiculousness of this sentiment aside, you DO know that America the Beautiful is not our national anthem, correct? Because you sound a little foolish ranting about how American you are and how you love this country so much, yet you don't know that that wasn't our national anthem."
She didn't reply, but she deleted her status. :rolleyes:

Unfortunately I heard those same comments out of my room mates mouths during that commercial. Some people are just soooo uneducated and racist and I can't help but feel bad for them. One of the room mates who made those remarks tweeted today: "Why am I in this economics class? Because NY state wants me to have a well rounded education. I don't wanna be well rounded." And three people favorited it. :mad::banghead::help: Everyday I hate my generation more and more. My friend came over the other night and I had to apologize to her for my room mates' racist remarks. It was so embarrassing.
I loved the commercial though, so beautiful. I'm a sucker for humanity stuff :p

Tomorrow is snow day #2 for me :cool: I went out and bought bow-making stuff tonight because I figured I might as well do something productive tomorrow (other than eating my weight in the food my mom will be baking). Stay warm everyone!
