I'm pretty sure that the pen/ mechanical pencil has to do with the computers that grade them. Like they don't register certain types of lead. Or at least that's what I've always been told.

What annoys me the most about the toast analogy is the lack of people that truly grasp and understand what I said. Its like sad.

It's not true though is what I'm saying. One, #2 pencils are #2 pencils. It's the same kind of lead. But two, I use mechanical pencils on the same system on a regular basis and it works fine! It's just annoying. They're so uncomfortable to use and inconvenient when they break.
