Can anyone that is good with computers help me out? I have a five year old dell laptop so I know it's reaching the end of it's expected life, but last night it worked perfectly fine and now it won't turn on at all. You can hear the fan try to come on for like a split second and then it just stops and nothing happens. This is seriously the worst timing ever and I just needed it to last another month until graduation but I have no idea what to do.

Did you try taking the battery completely off for a bit and then reattaching and trying again?

I'm seriously tempted now (even though I have an exam on May 1st and haven't really started revision yet...), so if anyone is still interested PM me?
