Dear lord please make this dance recital be over soon.
I'm really going to have to stop defending moms when I'm on here. I'm starting to agree with y'all - parents are legit the most insane people on the planet.
Your kid is 5.
They're just tights (or tap shoes or whatever else)
No one is going to the recital to look at your kid. Only you. Everyone else will be looking at their own kid.

I feel your pain, or at least I will next weekend. Cp13 is only talking 1 dance class this season, thank goodness but recital is still crazy and long. She has 2 days of it & her dance is near the end. She has rehearsal all day tomorrow and I'm so annoyed because this year we're not allowed to video tape or take pictures. We've never been able to for the actual recitals, but could during rehearsal. Now they're trapping us into buying the DVD of the whole thing. Not doing it for her one 4 min dance. Guess I'll have to get inventive. Hope yours ended painlessly.

I didn't know where to post this so I'll just ask here.
Does anyone know of/have suggestions for a good camera for taking pictures of cheerleaders? I run a college cheer blog and my university allows me to be on the sidelines, but I have no idea what camera would be the best. I don't really have the funds for anything over 1,000 but I would still like a quality camera. Thanks!

I'm the operations manager for the dance studio. My kid is in 3 dances, which I will not get to see, and I have to buy a dvd. (What? I. work. here. :mad: ) I really do love working here, I swear. But basically it's like having 200 kids. Because every. single. mom. here. thinks their kid is the only one in the recital. It's like most jobs - it's 49 weeks of a pleasant job, and 3 weeks of my own personal he!!. The recital itself actually isn't for 2 more weeks... :help::help::help::help::help:
